Here is a simple recipe to make oatmeal sugar biscuits (9 Batches)
Ingredients:
- 75g of unsalted butter (Room Temperature)
- 75g of granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons of honey (Honey of your choice)
- 75g of all purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 75g of old – fashion oats (Oats of your choice)
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
- Raisins or chocolate chip (optional)
Instruction:
- Preheat your oven to 175°c. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan melt the softened butter and the honey together.
- In a separate bowl beat the egg and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix the melted butter/honey mixture with the egg/vanilla extract mixture.
- In another separate bowl for the dry ingredients whisk together the flour, baking soda, and the granulated sugar.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Add in the oats and stir.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edge are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
