Recipe
Here is a recipe to make your own tasty Nutella spread :
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Hazelnut
- 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°c.
- Spread the hazelnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast them in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the skins start to crack.
- Remove the hazelnuts from the oven and let them cool slightly. Rub the hazelnuts together in a clean Kitchen towel to remove most of the skins.
- Grind the roasted and peeled hazelnuts in a food processor until they form a smooth paste. This process can take several minutes, so be patient.
- Add the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and vegetable oil to the hazelnut paste. Process until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Taste the homemade Nutella and adjust the sweetness by adding more powdered sugar.
- Transfer the homemade Nutella to a jar and store it in the refrigerator. It will thicken slightly as it cools.
- Enjoy your homemade Nutella spread with a toast, pancake and maybe use it in your favourite recipe.
